CUPEX® applies for medium and high voltage power cables as a shield/moisture barrier or as a moisture or chemical- barrier for cable core, it consists of a copper tape coated on single side with a special ethylene copolymer color coded-green. The coating forms a strong moisture-resistant bond to the copper substrate that will not delaminate from contact with the copper. The coatings also form strong polymeric bonds to zero halogen, polyethylene and chlorinated polyethylene jacketing resins during the jacket extrusion process thereby allowing fabrication of “bonded jacket” or laminate sheath cables. The copper alloy is 110,it’s fully annealed which has high conductivity and easy fabrication characteristics.
